Authorities confirmed on Tuesday the discovery of Minelys Zoé Rodríguez Ramírez’s lifeless body.
The 25-year-old Puerto Rican woman was reported missing on October 22 in Cornelia, Georgia.
The news, shared by Univision Atlanta (Univision 34), has caused shock in both the United States and Puerto Rican communities.
Rodríguez Ramírez, known as «Mimi» or «Piña» on TikTok, was last seen at a megastore in Cornelia.
HOW DID MINELYS RODRÍGUEZ’S DISAPPEARANCE HAPPEN?
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on the day of Minelys Rodriguez’s disappearance.
According to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office and her family, she left the store without any visible incidents.

However, that same night, her partner, Julio Tovor, became concerned when she didn’t answer his calls or return home.
Tovor sent her a message asking if she was okay, to which he received an unsettling response: “I’m here, waiting for a brother to pick me up,” written in perfect English.
What Happened to Minelys Rodríguez?
Both Tovor and Minelys’s mother, Carmen Ramírez, found this message suspicious, as Minelys did not speak or write English fluently.
“It was a very strange text. My daughter Minelys doesn’t speak English, much less knows how to write it,” her mother told Univision 34.
This has only raised more questions surrounding the circumstances of Rodríguez Ramírez’s disappearance and death.
Minelys had emigrated from Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, six years ago to pursue a job opportunity at Mount Vernon Mills.
What Is Known About the Suspect?
In Georgia, Minelys Rodriguez built a life with her partner and left behind a nine-year-old daughter, who remains in Puerto Rico.
Local authorities reported the arrest of a man allegedly linked to the case.
However, they have not yet provided further details about his identity or potential connection to Minelys’s death.
The investigation is ongoing, and both the police and her family hope to clarify what happened in Minelys Rodriguez’s final hours.
